Athento Cloud Service Scalability
In this page you will learn how to grow your Athento service to meet your demands.
The preconfigured offering of Athento allows on-demand growing. This growth can be performed at a horizontal level (improving the system by adding new features) or expanding the plan contracted by the client in users, support or storage. Here are some of the ways to grow with Athento:

Adding more users
If you need more users than the ones allowed by your plan, you have to upgrade to the next level. But there's a second option. You can buy some extra users.
The number of users cannot be more than 20% of the maximum number of users for your current plan.
Example: If you have the 300-1,000 plan, but you need 2,500 users in the future, you must go to the next level which is to 1,000-4,000 users. However, you could scale up 800 users using the 300-1000 option (total 1800 users) at a total price of $3,099 + (800users x $2.30) = $4939

What criteria prevails while scaling? Users or storage?
To move from one level to another, always consider the first criteria exceeded, whether users or storage. However, users is often more decisive, as discussed in the following examples.
Example 1: I just need 5 users, but I have 1TB of information. In this case, the client has two options:
A) Go to the strip of 30-100 users.
B) The customer also has the option of hiring the plan 1-10 users and extra 1TB.
Example 2: The customer needs 1,500 users, but only 1 TB of storage. In this case, the predominant criterion is users. You may:
A) Get the 300-1,000 users plan and pay extra 500 users. This would be € 2,379 + (500x1,75 €) = € 3,254/month.
B) Get the 1000-4000 users plan.
